Plywood production Process

XUZHOU MEGA INDUSTRIES PLYWOOD MANUFACTURING PRODUCTION PROCESS

1. VENEER DRYING
Natural veneer usually has moisture content from 35-45%. Veneer drying will improve product characteristics making it more sturdy and resistant to high humidity, pressure, and harsh environment.

1.1 Veneer Grading and Inspection
All the purchased Veneer are graded and inspected for different production uses ,sticked with various labels.

1.2 CORE VENEER STITCHING
All the crossband long grain core veneer are machine stitched and swing Joint to make 128cmx252cm .

2. VENEER LAY-UP
After veneer is dried to favored moisture content, they are laid up perpendicularly by layer.

2.1VENEER JOINT BY GLUE THEAD GUNS
All the veneer joints especially the finiger joint veneer are STITCHED and Stapled together to avoid CORE VENEER MOVING BEFORE hot pressing.

3. COLD PRESSING
Cold pressing ensures product structure before the permanent hot pressing.

3.1 SURFACE REPAIRING
All the surface of the platform before hot pressing must be repaired and remove the overlaps veneer and fill the veneer strips to avoid core voids,have a perfect smooth surface .

4. HOT PRESSING
Hot Pressing permanently cures WBP/MELAMINE/MR  Glue to solidify product structure.

4.1 PUTTY JOB
All the platform after hot pressing ,all need do putty job ,to make sure all the joints can be filled with wood putty ,make sure the surface are good enough before sanding .

4.2 GRADING AND SELECTION
All the platform are graded and inspected after hot pressing,make sure no delamination ,no bubbles ,accurate thickness ,Moisture content ,no warping or twisting.

4.3 Conditioning
All the platform after hot pressing ,have 7 days to 10 days contioning time ,to balance the moisture content ,inside overlaps and strength ,flatness .

5. SANDING AND CUTTING
After product surface is sanded, plywood is trimmed to specific dimensions.

6. FACE VENEER LAMINATION AND FILM LAMINATING
Plywood is laminated with various face veneer or HPL and Melamine Paper .

7. EDGE TREATMENT
Plywood edges are then treated and smoothly sanded .

8. PRODUCT INSPECTION,GRADING AND  PACKAGING
Products are Graded,inspected and packaged and stored in a dry and controlled environment to wait for deliverying.

9. SHIPPING
Products are delivered to customers  based on customers’ orders and schedules.
