LVL Laminated Veneer Lumber is an engineered wood product that is perfect for stair stringer applications. LVL panels and beams are considered structural composite lumber meaning they are manufactured by assembling multiple layers of wood using exterior adhesive.

Our Stair Stringer Laminated Veneer Lumber LVL utilizes Radiata Pine substrate along with exterior glue and high-quality primer for a smooth, paintable surface. This material is much less likely to warp, twist, bow, or shrink compared to traditional lumber. When considering appearance, LVL is like plywood, but the direction of the wood grain is always parallel to the length and laminated in the same direction.

We stock a wide variety of dimensions of Laminated Veneer Lumber for just-in-time deliveries. Custom sizing is available including thicknesses ranging from ¾” to 1-7/8” and lengths up to 24’. Both primed and unprimed material can be provided.

The term “LVL”, Laminated Veneer Lumber, was released in the 1960’s by the U.S. firm Wayerhauser, who developed this item and started the very first LVL manufacturing line. Today, LVL is considered the very best wood substance when considering engineering, reliability, and functionality.

These technological improvements have created substances that allow for wood products to be utilized in ways only dreamed of before. Nowhere else will you find attributes like the LVL—laminated veneer lumber, a commodity of wood working business, that is fabricated as billets, beams, and boards. The LVL properties substantially exceed those of wood, glulam and high-quality timber.

LVL, Laminated Veneer Lumber, is a wholly homogenous substance with unchangeable mechanical attributes lengthwise. Seasonal change will have no impact on the procedure performance, and the product’s functionally will never falter over its entire service life.

Its outstanding properties set LVL one of the most innovative and technological products presently utilized in building.

These physical attributes ensure high bearing ability of LVL goods at smaller cross-sections that in its turn significantly reduces the entire quantity of necessary lumber.

These high features are correlated with a variety of particular characteristics of LVL manufacturing process that guarantee the lack of pure timber flaws in the construction of this substance.

Owing to the laminated construction and manufacturing technologies, LVL is a wholly homogenous substance with unchangeable mechanical attributes lengthwise and constant performance no matter seasonal things. That’s, it is a substance with homogenous symmetrical arrangement that doesn’t alter its functionality over its entire service life.
