Four main reasons for delamination of plywood

Release time: June 7th, 2023

At present, almost all furniture needs panel products, and different panels have different physical properties. The surface paper of solid wood multilayer ecological furniture board is placed on the top layer of the decorative board to protect the decorative paper, so that the surface of the board after heating and pressing is highly transparent, and the board surface is hard and wear-resistant. This paper requires good water absorption, white and clean, and transparent after dipping.

Cracks are an important factor affecting the quality of panels, and panel quality is also an important indicator of furniture quality.

Point 1: Moisture content of the board

Blockboard, multi-layer board, particle board, density board, etc. all involve the moisture content of wood. It is generally believed that newly cut wood has a higher moisture content, while long-term air dried wood has a lower moisture content.

The moisture content is an important factor affecting the bonding strength of the board. If the moisture content of the board is too high at once, it will lead to reduced bonding strength and adhesive delamination.

Point 2: Drying

Based on the above points, the production process of medium and thick plates basically involves the drying process. This process is also a faster and more balanced way of achieving standards.

Point 3: Adhesive

In addition to external factors, there are also inherent factors, namely, defects in the adhesive of the board. If the bonding strength of the adhesive is insufficient, it can also occur in the later stage of adhesive delamination.

Fourth point: External environment

The control board itself is good, and if it is exposed to a dark and humid environment for a long time, there will be some unnecessary losses, including the delamination of glue.
