VENEER CORE

All inner plies of wood veneer.

Thickness:
5/16″ or less: 3-ply
3/8″: 5-ply
1/2″ to 5/8″: 7-ply
3/4″ and over: 7-ply minimum

Benefit: Best screwhold power.

COMPOSITE CORE

Consists of wood veneer inner plies with MDF or MPX.

Thickness:
1/2″ to 3/4″

Benefit:
Lightweight. Strong. No core telegraphing. Ideal for overlaying of veneers, high pressure laminates and miscellaneous glueable papers and foils.

PARTICLEBOARD CORE

Industrial grade.

Thickness:
1/2″ to 1-1/4″

Benefit:
No core telegraphing. Least expensive.

MDF CORE

Medium Density Fiberboard

Thickness:
5.2mm to 1-1/4″

Benefit:
Most stable. No core telegraphing. Uniform density. Superior machinability.
